Jiujiang No.3 Middle School

The school is located in Jiujiang, a prefecture-level city located in the southern shores of the Yangtze River in northwest Jiangxi Province.  

Founded in 1956, the school is under the Jiujiang Education Bureau and has been a designated Key Middle School since 1979. It is widely recognised for its strong academic performance, distinctive approach, and excellent reputation.

The school operates across two campuses: Gantanghu (historic and centrally located) and Hewenhu (modern, opened in 2019 and expanded in 2025). The newer campus features advanced facilities, including smart classrooms, AI-supported teaching, and full Wi-Fi 6 coverage, creating a high-quality learning environment.

As of 2026, the school has around 5,100 students and 433 staff, including highly qualified teachers and several nationally recognised educators. Over 95% of staff hold advanced professional titles or postgraduate degrees.

The school emphasises both academic excellence and holistic development, guided by values of integrity, kindness, and intellectual growth. It consistently achieves strong exam results, with many students progressing to top universities, while also excelling in arts, sports, and wider education.

Jiujiang No.3 Middle School has received over 100 provincial and national awards and is regarded as a benchmark institution for secondary education in the region.

Volunteers will live on site in comfortable accommodation, with separate rooms.
