You will be volunteering at Divine Destiny Academy in Blantyre, in Southern Malawi.

Your Project

Divine Destiny Academy is a school Manja, Blantyre. The staff here are passionate about shaping, empowering and providing a brighter future for it’s 120 students, despite basic facilities.

The students at Divine Destiny Academy are aged from 3-16 years old. You will be teaching a number of ages and class sizes across the school. Lessons typically are 35 minutes and you will be teaching English, Maths and Expressive Arts, however, you might be asked to assist with other subjects too.

As Divine Destiny Academy is a Christian organisation, you would be required to be sympathetic to the aims and objectives of the organisation and it’s Christian values. You may be asked to attend church services, although you do not need to be a practicing Christian.

Accommodation

Your accommodation and living space will be a short walk from your project. You will share a house and kitchen with your host’s domestic worker. You and your partner will share a bedroom and bathroom.

Your living allowance provided by Project Trust will cover your daily living costs.
