Sparrows Nest Nursery

You will be volunteering at Sparrows Nest Nursery in Blantyre, Southern Malawi.

Your Project

Sparrows Nest is a Nursery and Primary School in on the outskirts of Blantyre. With only 150 students the school, it is well-structured and has a close-knit community.

The students at Sparrows Nest Nursery are aged from 2-5 years old. You will be supporting teachers to deliver a number of classes and activities from cookery, sports and swimming. You will need to be enthusiastic and use your skills and experience to plan and deliver a range of fun and educational activities across the school.

As well as your main responsibilities in the nursery you may have the opportunity to get involved in teaching in the primary school and run some extra-curricular activities for the students.

Accommodation

You and your partner will be living independently in accommodation close to your project. Your accommodation will be equipped with all the facilities you will need to cook your own meals.  

Your living allowance provided by Project Trust will cover your daily living costs.
