Although this care home comes under the Ministry of Labour and Welfare, they are associated with Cheshire Homes in the UK. It is a warm and caring community and the volunteers in the past have a really rewarding experience.

Your main role will be supporting the qualified professionals to provide care and assistance to residents with significant physical and mental needs. The ethos of the home to support the resident to live as independently as possible with opportunities to take part in a wide range of creative activities. The clubs that are on offer to the residents include music class, chorus, calligraphy, flower arrangement, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, saori weaving, Hawaiian dance, photography class, computer class, book reading sessions. As a volunteer your energy and enthusiasm to support these clubs, as well manage the more day to day care will be really valued.

This project is a new one in our programme but the home is very experienced in hosting international volunteers. Building relationships will be an important part of your year and to make the most of the opportunities here you will need to work hard at learning Japanese and get involved as much as you can.ใ€Œใฏใ‚“ใ—ใ‚“่‡ช็ซ‹ใฎๅฎถใ€ใ”ๆกˆๅ†…๏ฝœใฒใ‚‡ใ†ใ”้šœๅฎณ้šœๅฎณ็ฆ็ฅ‰ไบ‹ๆฅญๅ”ไผš๏ฝœใƒใ‚งใ‚ทใƒฃใƒผใƒ›ใƒผใƒ  (cheshire-home.com) This is the project website ( which can be translated
