Don Bosco KEP
You will be working in a catholic charity called Don Bosco, set up to support vulnerable children and young people.
Your Project
Don Bosco is a worldwide foundation supported by the Catholic Church. Don Bosco Kep, opened in 2011, provides technical and practical education to young people who have completed 12th grade.
Most students come from rural areas with limited economic resources, and many are orphans from the Kampot, Takeo, and Kep provinces. In addition to technical training, younger children are sponsored to complete their schooling through grade 12, and the campus also hosts a kindergarten.
At Don Bosco Kep, volunteers are placed according to their strengths and interests. Upon arrival, Father Albeiro speaks with each volunteer to understand their skills and find the most appropriate role. Past volunteers have taken part in a wide variety of activities, including teaching English, helping students with homework, working with the boys in the boarding house, organizing and supporting sports and extracurricular activities, assisting in the kindergarten, providing administrative support, and accompanying students on outings.
Every volunteer experience is unique, shaped both by the needs of the school and the abilities that each person brings. This flexibility ensures that volunteers can make a meaningful contribution while also engaging in work that feels rewarding and natural to them.
Accommodation
You will be living in the school, you will have a shared room. Your food will be provided by the school and you will be eating with other volunteers, college staff and pupils. Project Trust will provide a monthly allowance for other incidentals.
