Results Day. What’s Next?

Whatever your results, your future is still yours to shape.

Whether your plans have changed, you’re taking a gap year, or you’re looking for an experience that will help you stand out before university or employment, Project Trust could be your next step.

Every year, young people aged 17–25 choose Project Trust to spend time living and volunteering overseas. Through placements in education, youth development and social care across Africa, Asia and Latin America, our Volunteers build confidence, gain valuable experience and discover what they’re capable of.

Which path sounds most like you?

Maybe your results weren’t what you hoped for, or perhaps you’re simply rethinking your next step.

Project Trust gives you the opportunity to build confidence, gain real-world experience and discover new possibilities while making a meaningful contribution overseas.

Living and volunteering overseas develops the kind of skills employers and universities value most: leadership, resilience, communication, adaptability and independence.

Whether you’re aiming for a competitive university, a future career in medicine, law, teaching or beyond, Project Trust can help you broaden your perspective and strengthen your experience.

Skills you’ll build

By the end of your placement, you’ll have developed skills that stay with you long after you return home.

Where could it take you?

I got rejected from every medical school I applied for but decided to go for a year abroad with Project Trust. – Nizam Mamode

Nizam became one of the UK’s leading transplant surgeons, performing the country’s first robotic liver transplant.

Before embarking on his medical career, he spent a year volunteering with Project Trust – an experience that profoundly shaped his confidence, determination and outlook. He credited that formative year with building the resilience and perseverance that helped him pursue his ambition of becoming a doctor.

Project Trust had an inestimable influence on my life.’

Nizam Mamode is one of many Project Trust Alumni whose stories remind us that a single year can shape the course of a lifetime.
