Project Trust Volunteers in Nepal

Following the earthquake in Nepal, Project Trust was immediately in contact with its volunteers in the country, and could account for the safety and whereabouts of them all as of early Saturday morning.

Project Trust has 10 volunteers from the UK in Nepal working in local schools, as part of its long term volunteering programme for UK school leavers, which sees around 300 young people from the UK take on long term volunteering placements in Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Project Trust’s Chief Executive, Ingrid Emerson MBE commented,
“We will continue to monitor the situation very closely, and will keep in regular contact with our volunteers, and our representative in Nepal. Our thoughts are with all those who have lost loved ones in this tragic event.”
