Project Trust at 50

As a Project Trust Returned Volunteer, your story is written within our first chapter.

As we embark upon the next 50 years of global volunteering we need you to help us write the second…

“Project Trust is a unique organisation. What comes across to me is that it is an organisation managed and run by typically people that have been Volunteers themselves, who are all highly motivated and skilled people. They want to encourage and offer the same opportunities that they’ve had to other people.”

Tim Willans, Volunteer in Australia 1973/74

Since 1967 almost 8,000 young people have experienced a life changing year overseas with Project Trust.

On our 50th Birthday, we are reaching out to you for regular support so that we can continue to offer future generations of Volunteers the opportunity to challenge themselves, learn about the world and be a positive force within it. Just like you.

“Project Trust is a very special organisation. Through Project Trust, people have the opportunity to change their future, because they get opportunities to experience so many different things, both before they go abroad, while they’re overseas and when they’re back. It gives you so many benefits. For me, looking back 20 years on, my life has been so enriched by Project Trust.”

James Hopkins, Volunteer in Guyana 1997/98

Leave a Legacy

Leaving a gift in your will to charity is an incredibly generous way to make a donation. We understand that loved ones come first, but leaving a gift in your will to Project Trust ensures that generations of young people have the opportunity to take part in challenging overseas volunteering placements.

“Project Trust is a way of showing that teenagers and the youth of society are not all stubborn know-it-alls, that think their society is the best. It shows that the young people of this generation do not have to perpetuate the stereotypes or racism of the past. Young people can change how people view them, how people view each other. They have the power to create something new, something better, a better attitude for everyone towards each other.”
