How to Apply for Project Trust
The first stage of your Project Trust volunteer placement is to complete the online Application Form (which can be found by scrolling down this page). If you are unsure about any aspect of the Application process, then please give us a call on 01879 230444 or drop us an email with any questions that you have.
Before applying to Project Trust…
Are you eligible? Project Trust specialises in voluntary Gap Year placements for school-leavers aged 17-19. If you do not fall within this age group, or have left school more than two years ago, unfortunately you aren’t eligible to volunteer with Project Trust. If this is the case we recommend you look at the Year Out Group website, and wish you the best of luck with finding a suitable voluntary placement.
In your Application Form we’ll ask you to write about your academic achievements, extra-curricular activities and interests and motivation for volunteering overseas. Please ensure that you write at least 200 words on your motivation for volunteering.
After submitting your application…
Once we’ve processed your Project Trust Application Form we’ll let you know whether you’ve been successful or not. If you are successful, we’ll invite you to book on to a Selection course. Please don’t try to book on to a Selection course until we’ve processed your Application Form.
Once you’re booked on to Selection you can get ready for a week on Coll: we look forward to seeing you here. If you have not heard from us within seven days of applying, please call the office on 01879 230444.
Project Trust aims to reflect the diversity of UK society in geographical, social, gender and ethnic background.
Our volunteering experience is open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitudes required to succeed.
